Position Title: Programs Support Coordinator 

Purpose of Position:

The Programs Support Coordinator inspires travelers to extend their stay in the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region and visit more than one part of our region through exceptional customer service, accurate information, and passion for the diverse recreational, cultural, and culinary activities throughout the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region. This position also provides office support and is the primary receptionist for Travel Lane County’s administrative office.



Visitor and Front Office Operations

  • Assists Visitor Center Manager to oversee front desk reception and retail services:
    • Maintain brochure inventory and manage fulfillment process for visitor guide requests.
    • Assist visitors with trip planning.
    • Payment processing and retail sales.
    • Data entry for visitors/outreach.
    • Maintain safety & health protocols cleaning & sanitizing.
  • Assist with special events.

Stakeholder Relations & Partnership

  • Assists with partner deals and offers.
    • Approve, edit, and add new deal and packages (style guide and SEO)
    • Research and add deals to augment niche offerings (always obtaining partner approval)
    • Renew, update, clone as deals expire in our system.
  • Communicate partner mentions from blogs, social media and earned media mentions (CRM template)
  • Make referrals to partner organizations.
  • Prepare, print, and mail monthly billing for partners, including dues, sponsorships, advertising, events, etc.
    • Post payments in database daily.
    • Work with VP of Finance and Administration to resolve discrepancies.

General Department Support

  • Assists department staff with projects.
    • Add new destination listings and edit (style guide and SEO).
  • Manage Events calendar
    • Approve, edit (style guide and SEO), and manage submitted events.
    • Monitor calendar email and help train partners on event guidelines.
    • Research and add events to update communities and niche calendar pages.
  • Input listings and events into Travel Oregon’s OTIS system and other high value locations, such as Google My Business.

  • Values mission of Travel Lane County by possessing a passion for and knowledge of Lane County’s adventure, culinary, and cultural offerings.
  • Experience and ability to work easily and professionally in a fast-paced customer service oriented and retail environment with a variety of visitors and coworkers.
  • Exceptional customer service, promptness, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude of basic computer, office systems, data management, proofreading and editing skills (Microsoft Suite, Internet) with an emphasis on clear written and oral communication.
  • Use of a multi-line phone system.
  • Loyalty to and positive representation of Travel Lane County.


  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Willing to work with limited privacy in a public workstation shared with other team members.
  • Available to work regularly scheduled weekend shifts and after hour events when necessary.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs. from the floor and carry short distances.
  • Able to stand for duration of an 8-hour shift.
  • Able and willing to use standard cleaning supplies.



  • This is a full-time hourly, non-exempt position of 40 hours per week.
  • Benefits include medical and dental insurance as well as paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.  Employee eligible for employer contribution into SEP/IRA after 2 years of employment.
  • This position reports to the Director of Partner and Community Engagement.
